We visited the Bagot residence, Blithfield Hall, to learn more about the History of Pool Park.
We had the most amazing day at Blithfield Hall as the guests of Charlie and Cosy Bagot-Jewitt. Since we became the owners of Pool Park Estate we have been in touch with the Bagot Family. William 2nd Lord Bagot, of Blithfield Hall, built Pool Park Manor House in 1826. Charlie Bagot is a direct descendant of Lord Bagot and now owns Blithfield Hall, the Bagot Family Home.
It was wonderful to see the strong connection between Blithfield and Pool Park as we explored the huge Staffordshire Mansion and it's rich history!
We were able to see the coats of arms that used to live in the Entrance Hall of Pool Park. These are now displayed in the Library at Blithfield Hall.
We were also able to see the oil painting of William 2nd Lord Bagot and the bells they would ring to get the servants attention!
Photos are below.
We learnt so much about Pool Park that will help us in the restoration. We were also given a Blithfield Oak Tree to plant at Pool Park!
